The Duty to Fulfill Promised Gifts
न हर्तव्यं विप्रधन क्षन्तव्यं तेषु नित्यश: । बालाश्व नावमन्तव्या दरिद्रा: कृपणा अपि
na hartavyaṃ vipradhanaṃ kṣantavyaṃ teṣu nityaśaḥ | bālāś ca nāvamantavyā daridrāḥ kṛpaṇā api ||
毗湿摩教诲道：切不可盗取婆罗门之财。纵使婆罗门有过失，也应恒常以宽恕之心相待。即便他们年幼、贫困或令人怜悯，也不可轻慢——敬重与克制，乃是法（dharma）之所要求。
