Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
प्रतीपा भवतां जिह्दा भवित्रीति भृगूद्गह | भगुकुलभूषण! यह सुनकर अग्निदेव क्रोधसे विह्लल हो उठे और उन्होंने समस्त हाथियोंको शाप देते हुए कहा--तुमलोगोंकी जिह्ला उलटी हो जायगी”
pratīpā bhavatāṃ jihvā bhavitrīti bhṛgūdgaha | bhṛgukulabhūṣaṇa! etac chrutvā agnidevaḥ krodhena vihvalaḥ samabhavat, sa sarvān hastinaḥ śapann uvāca—yūyaṃ jihvā-viparyastā bhaviṣyatha |
毗湿摩说道:“噢,婆利古族中最卓越者啊,‘你们的舌将倒转。’”听到这话,阿耆尼怒不可遏,遂对一切大象降下诅咒,宣告:“你们的舌头都将翻转倒置。”此段揭示:失控的忿怒,即便出自神明,也会引发广泛后果;而诅咒则作为道德警策,告诫言语之力与不加分别的报复之险。
भीष्म उवाच
