Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)

पप्रच्छागमसम्पन्नानूषीन्‌ देवांश्व॒ भार्गव: । पावन यत्‌ परं नृणामुग्रे कर्मणि वर्तताम्‌

Bhīṣma uvāca — papracchāgama-sampannān ṛṣīn devāṁś ca bhārgavaḥ | pāvanaṁ yat paraṁ nṛṇām ugre karmaṇi vartatām ||

婆伽婆族的帕罗修罗摩向通达传承(āgama)的圣仙与诸天问道:“对于行于凶猛之业的人,何者为至上净化?”他如此发问后,那些通晓吠陀与论典(śāstra)的大仙便说道如下。
