Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka (सुवर्णदान-प्रसङ्गे कार्त्तिकेय-उत्पत्ति तथा तारकवधः)
मानुषेषु च कुर्वाणा: प्रजा: कर्म शुभास्तव । निवत्स्यन्ति महाभागे सर्वा दुहितरश्न ते,महाभागे! तुम्हारी सभी शुभ संतानें--समस्त पुत्र और कन्याएँ मानवलोकमें उपयुक्त कर्म करती हुई निवास करेंगी
mānuṣeṣu ca kurvāṇāḥ prajāḥ karmāṇi śubhāni tava | nivatsyanti mahābhāge sarvā duhitaraś ca te ||
“噢,大福德者!你一切贤善的子嗣——无论儿子还是女儿——都将住于人间,行诸相称而吉祥之业。”
भीष्म उवाच
A true blessing is that one’s children live in the human world as ethical agents—performing appropriate, auspicious deeds (śubha-karman) in alignment with dharma.
Bhishma addresses a noble lady (mahābhāge) and offers a benediction/assurance regarding her progeny: all her sons and daughters will reside among humans and engage in fitting, virtuous actions.
