Brāhmaṇa-vandana: Criteria for Veneration, Disciplined Speech, and Protective Kingship (अनुशासनपर्व, अध्याय ८)
कर्मणा मनसा वापि वाचा वापि परंतप । यन्मे कृतं ब्राह्मुणेभ्यस्तेनाद्य न तपाम्यहम्
karmaṇā manasā vāpi vācā vāpi parantapa | yan me kṛtaṃ brāhmaṇebhyas tenādya na tapāmy aham ||
毗湿摩说道：“噬敌如火者啊，无论以身行、以心念、以言语——凡我曾对婆罗门所尽之奉事，皆凭那功德之力；即使如今我堕入此等境地，也不为痛苦之火所灼。”
