गवां लोकवर्णनं तथा गोप्रदानफलश्रुतिः

मातर: सर्वभूतानां गाव: सर्वसुखप्रदा: । वृद्धिमाकाडुक्षता नित्यं गाव: कार्या: प्रदक्षिणा:
mātaraḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ gāvaḥ sarvasukhapradāḥ | vṛddhim ākāṅkṣatā nityaṁ gāvaḥ kāryāḥ pradakṣiṇāḥ ||
毗湿摩说道：“牛被称为一切众生之母，因为它们赐予众人安乐与慰藉。因此，凡求兴盛与提升者，当恒常敬奉诸牛，绕行礼敬，使其居于自身右侧。”
