मूले मूलफल दत्त्वा ब्राह्मणेभ्य:ः समाहित: । पितृन् प्रीणयते चापि गतिमिष्टां च गच्छति,मूल नक्षत्रमें एकाग्रचित्त हो ब्राह्मणोंको मूल-फल दान करनेवाला मनुष्य पितरोंको तृप्त करता और अभीष्ट गतिको पाता है
Nārada uvāca | Mūle mūla-phalaṁ dattvā brāhmaṇebhyaḥ samāhitaḥ | Pitṝn prīṇayate cāpi gatim iṣṭāṁ ca gacchati ||
那罗陀说道:“若人心神专一,于牟罗(Mūla)月宿之际,将根茎与果实布施给婆罗门,则亦能使祖灵(pitṛs)欢悦,并得所愿之吉祥归趣。”
नारद उवाच
Focused charity (dāna) offered to worthy recipients (Brāhmaṇas), especially when aligned with an auspicious observance (here associated with Mūla), yields two linked fruits: it satisfies one’s ancestors (pitṛs) and supports one’s own attainment of a desired, auspicious destiny (iṣṭā gati).
Nārada is instructing about a specific dharmic observance: giving roots and fruits to Brāhmaṇas with a concentrated mind. He states the spiritual consequence of this act—ancestral gratification and the attainment of a wished-for spiritual course.
