अन्नदान-प्रशंसा (Praise of the Gift of Food) | Annadāna-Praśaṃsā
आशीविषानिव क्रुद्धांस्तानुपाचरत द्विजान् | ब्राह्मण स्वभावत: कोमल
āśīviṣān iva kruddhāṁs tān upācarata dvijān | brāhmaṇāḥ svabhāvataḥ komalāḥ satyavādinaḥ satya-dharma-pālanāś ca bhavanti, kintu yadā te kupitā bhavanti tadā viṣaile sarpa-sadṛśā bhayaṅkarā bhavanti | ataḥ tvaṁ sadā brāhmaṇānāṁ sevāṁ kurv iti |
毗湿摩说道：“当侍奉那些两次出生的婆罗门时，应如同面对暴怒的毒蛇一般谨慎。婆罗门本性柔和，守真言，坚住于真实之法；然而一旦被激怒，便如毒蛇般可怖。因此，你应当恒常以服侍与恭敬之行对待婆罗门。”
