युधिछिर उवाच कथमस्य प्रयोक्तव्य: संस्कार: कस्य वा कथम्‌ । देया कन्या कथं चेति तन्मे ब्रूहि पितामह

Transliteration

Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: katham asya prayoktavyaḥ saṃskāraḥ kasya vā katham | deyā kanyā kathaṃ ceti tan me brūhi pitāmaha ||

Translation

尤提士提罗说道：“祖父啊，请告诉我：这孩子的诸种净化与入门之礼（saṃskāra）应当如何举行，又应依从谁的种姓阶序（varṇa）来行？人又当如何判定他真正属于哪一varṇa？并且，应以何种方式、从哪一族群为他择配，将少女许配于他？请为我详释。”
