भीष्म उवाच मातापितृभ्यां यस्त्यक्तः पथि यस्तं प्रकल्पयेत् । न चास्य मातापितरी ज्ञायेतां स हि कृत्रिम:
bhīṣma uvāca mātāpitr̥bhyāṁ yas tyaktaḥ pathi yas taṁ prakalpayet | na cāsya mātāpitarī jñāyetāṁ sa hi kr̥trimaḥ ||
毗湿摩说：“由提湿陀罗啊，若有孩童被父母遗弃于路旁，纵使追问也无法识得其父母是谁，那么收留并抚养他的人，便被视为其收养之父；因此此子称为‘造子’（kṛtaka）。”
