इत्येते संकरे जाता: पितृमातृव्यतिक्रमात् | प्रच्छन्ना वा प्रकाशा वा वेदितव्या: स्वकर्मभि:
ity ete saṅkare jātāḥ pitṛ-mātṛ-vyatikramāt | pracchannā vā prakāśā vā veditavyāḥ sva-karmabhiḥ ||
毗湿摩说道：“因此，这些混杂的群体，乃由父系与母系血统之越礼交错而生（即跨越瓦尔那界限的结合）。其中有的身份隐而不彰，有的则昭然于众；当以其自身的品行与作为来辨识。”
