Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
तस्मिन् वक्षे तथाभूते कोटरेषु चिरोषित: । न जहाति शुको वासं तस्य भक्त्या वनस्पते:
tasmin vakṣe tathābhūte koṭareṣu ciroṣitaḥ | na jahāti śuko vāsaṃ tasya bhaktyā vanaspateḥ ||
毗湿摩说道：当那棵树沦落至此时，一只久居树洞的鹦鹉仍不离其巢。因对那树怀有眷恋与敬爱，它在树将枯萎之际仍守在那里——彰显不在衰败时弃离所依之恩的忠贞与感戴。
