Viśvāmitra-janma: Ṛcīka–Satyavatī–Gādhi and the Charu Exchange (विश्वामित्र-जन्म: ऋचीक–सत्यवती–गाधि वृत्तान्तः)
ध्यातमात्रमचीकेन हयानां चन्द्रवर्चसाम् | गड्ाजलात् समुत्तस्थी सहस्नं विपुलौजसाम्,तदनन्तर ऋचीकके चिन्तन करते ही गंगाजीके जलसे चन्द्रमाके समान कान्तिवाले एक हजार तेजस्वी घोड़े प्रकट हो गये
dhyātamātram ṛcīkena hayānāṃ candravarcasām | gaṅgājalāt samuttiṣṭhī sahasraṃ vipulaujasām ||
毗湿摩说:当圣者利支迦(Ṛcīka)仅以心念观想之时,恒河(Gaṅgā)之水中便涌现出一千匹骏马——皎洁如月,雄健有力。此事彰显了受持戒律之心念与苦行之力的威德:内在的决意与灵性功德,能在无暴力、无强迫之下,化为可见可触的成果。
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the efficacy of tapas and focused intention: when the mind is disciplined and spiritually empowered, results can arise through dharmic, non-violent means—suggesting that inner mastery can be more potent than external force.
Bhīṣma narrates that Ṛcīka, simply by contemplating, causes a thousand moon-bright, powerful horses to emerge from the waters of the Gaṅgā—an event presented as a manifestation of ascetic/spiritual power.
