पात्रलक्षण-परिक्षा (Pātra-Lakṣaṇa Parīkṣā) — Criteria for a Worthy Recipient
ब्राह्मणं जातिसम्पन्नं धर्मज्ञं संशितं शुचिम् । अपरेषां परेषां च परेभ्यश्रैव येडपरे
brāhmaṇaṁ jātisampannaṁ dharmajñaṁ saṁśitaṁ śucim | apareṣāṁ pareṣāṁ ca parebhyaś caiva ye ’pare ||
风神说道：“当愿得一位出身端正、通晓法（达摩）、持戒严谨而清净的婆罗门诞生并在世。于‘下’与‘上’之间，乃至更高者之中，婆罗门皆被视为更高。为此等婆罗门所称赞者必得兴盛；而诋毁婆罗门者不久便遭败亡。”
