Brāhmaṇa-pūjā, Haviḥ-dāna, and the Vāsudeva–Pṛthivī Saṃvāda
Chapter 34
ye sarvātithayo nityaṁ goṣu ca brāhmaṇeṣu ca | nityaṁ satye cābhiratā durgāṇy atitaranti te ||
The verse teaches that steadfast ethical conduct—especially universal hospitality, reverence toward cows and Brahmins, and devotion to truth—creates the moral strength and merit by which one overcomes severe dangers.
Nārada is instructing his listener within the Anuśāsana Parva’s dharma-discourse, stating a general principle: those who consistently practice these duties are able to pass through great संकट (durgāṇi) successfully.
