ब्राह्मणपूजा-राजधर्मः | Royal Duty of Honoring Learned Brahmins
तस्यात्मजश्न प्रमितिर्वेदवेदाड़पारग: । घृताच्यां तस्य पुत्रस्तु रुरुर्नामोदपद्यत,वागिन्द्रके पुत्र प्रमेति हुए जो वेदों और वेदांगोंके पारंगत विद्वान् थे। प्रमितिके घृताची अप्सरासे रुरुनामक पुत्र हुआ
tasyātmajaś ca pramitir vedavedāṅgapāragaḥ | ghṛtācyāṃ tasya putras tu rurur nāmodapadyata ||
毗湿摩说道:“他的儿子是普罗弥底(Pramiti),通达吠陀及诸吠陀支(Vedāṅga)的博学之士。由普罗弥底与天女阿普萨拉斯·吉利塔吉(Ghṛtācī)生下一子,名为鲁鲁(Ruru)。”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse underscores the cultural ideal that true stature in a lineage is marked by mastery of sacred knowledge (Veda and Vedāṅgas), and it situates personal excellence within continuity of descent.
Bhishma continues a genealogical account: he names Pramiti as a Veda- and Vedāṅga-master, and then states that Pramiti and the apsaras Ghṛtācī had a son named Ruru.
