Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Mataṅga uvāca—brāhmaṇyaṁ kāmayāno ’ham idam ārabdhavāṁs tapaḥ | gaccheyaṁ tad avāpyeha vara eṣa vṛto mayā ||

Translation

毗湿摩波耶那（Vaiśampāyana）说道：马当伽说道——“我渴求婆罗门（brāhmaṇa）之位，故而开始此苦行。唯有在此地得其所愿之后，我才离开此处；这便是我所选择的唯一恩赐。”
