अन्धान् जडान द्रव्यहीनांश्व गड़ा यशस्विनी बृहती विश्वरूपा । देवै: सेन्द्रैमुनिभिमाननवैश्व निषेविता सर्वकामैर्युनक्ति
andhān jaḍān dravyahīnānś ca gaṅgā yaśasvinī bṛhatī viśvarūpā | devaiḥ sendrair munibhiś cānaraiś ca niṣevitā sarvakāmair yunakti ||
悉达者说道:河神恒河——光荣显赫,形体广大,示现万相——虽常为与因陀罗同来的诸天、诸牟尼与世人所依止礼敬,却也能赐予一切所愿给投靠于她的人,即便其人目盲、愚钝或贫乏无财。
सिद्ध उवाच
Sacred refuge and reverent engagement with a tīrtha like Gaṅgā is portrayed as universally accessible and transformative: even those lacking physical ability, mental sharpness, or wealth can attain fulfillment of legitimate aims through devotion and reliance on divine grace.
A Siddha extols Gaṅgā’s greatness, describing her as revered by gods (with Indra), sages, and humans, and emphasizing her power to bestow all desired benefits upon anyone who seeks her shelter, including the socially or materially disadvantaged.
