अहिंसयित्वा ब्रह्महत्याविधानम् / Brahmahatyā incurred without physical violence

मार्कण्डेय उवाच अश्वमेधसहस्रं च सत्यं च तुलया धृतम्‌ । नाभिजानामि यद्यस्य सत्यस्यार्धमवाप्तरुयात्‌

Transliteration

Mārkaṇḍeya uvāca— aśvamedha-sahasraṃ ca satyaṃ ca tulayā dhṛtam | nābhijānāmi yad yasya satyasyārdham avāptum arhati ||

Translation

马尔坎德耶说道：“若将一千场阿湿婆梅陀（马祭）置于天平一端，将‘真实’置于另一端，即便如此衡量，我也不敢说那些祭祀配得上真实的一半。真诚守真之价值，实不可量。”
