Educational Q&A

Happiness in married/household life depends on disciplined character: avoid addictions, avoid excessive attachment, maintain steadiness (not constantly living away), and cultivate learning and good conduct.

Bhishma is delivering a didactic statement on the qualities that support domestic happiness, framing it as a normative guideline within Anushasana Parva’s broader instruction on dharma.
