पौरजानपदैश्वैव मन्त्रिवृद्धैश्व पार्थिव । प्रविवेश कुरुश्रेष्ठ: पुरं वारणसाह्वयम्‌

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

paurajānapadaiś caiva mantrivṛddhaiś ca pārthiva |

praviveśa kuruśreṣṭhaḥ puraṃ vāraṇasāhvayam ||

Translation

毗舍摩波耶那说：“大王啊，在城中百姓与四方乡里之人，以及年长大臣的随从之下，俱卢之最进入了名为婆罗那萨呼耶（哈斯提那补罗）的城。”
