इदं ब्रह्मा पुरा कुत्वा सर्वतलोकपितामह: । सर्वस्तवानां राजत्वे दिव्यानां समकल्पयत्‌

Transliteration

idaṁ brahmā purā kṛtvā sarvalokapitāmahaḥ | sarvastavānāṁ rājatve divyānāṁ samakalpayat ||

Translation

风神伐由说道：“在远古之时，梵天——诸世界之祖父——撰成此赞颂，并立之为一切天界赞歌（stotra）之‘王’。因为即便在生命终末之刻忆念此文，也能引人趋向至高归宿，所以这部千名赞颂至为清净、吉祥，能增长智慧，利益圆满。”
