Educational Q&A

Service and reverent attendance to one’s teacher (ācāryopāsanā) strengthens and anchors a person in Dharma; steadfast practice of Dharma is presented as the decisive support and the cause of attaining devaloka.

In Anushasana Parva, Bhishma is instructing Yudhishthira on conduct and duties. Here he emphasizes the ethical and spiritual fruit of honoring the teacher and consistently upholding Dharma, linking it to a higher posthumous destination (devaloka).
