नामधेयानि देवेषु बहुन्यस्य यथार्थवत् । निरुच्यन्ते महत्त्वाच्च विभुत्वात् कर्मभिस्तथा,उनकी महत्ता, व्यापकता तथा दिव्य कर्मोंके अनुसार देवताओंमें उनके बहुत-से यथार्थ नाम प्रचलित हैं
nāmadheyāni deveṣu bahūny asya yathārthavat | nirucyante mahattvāc ca vibhutvāt karmabhis tathā ||
风神伐由说道：“在诸天之中，人们以许多名号称呼他，而每一个名号都确有其义——由其伟大、由其遍一切处的主宰之力，亦由其神圣事业而生。故多重尊号之传承，并非徒然的习俗，而是承认：名应与真实的德性与作为相称。”
