असूयतश्च शक्रस्य वज्ेण प्रहरिष्यत: । स वज्ं स्तम्भयामास त॑ बाहुं परिघोपमम्
asūyataś ca śakrasya vajreṇa prahariṣyataḥ | sa vajraṃ stambhayāmāsa taṃ bāhuṃ parighopamam ||
风神伐由说道:当释迦(因陀罗)被嫉妒攫住,正要举起金刚雷霆下击之时,那少年竟使他那持金刚的臂膀——粗壮可怖,如铁杵一般——连同雷霆一并凝住,动弹不得。
वायुदेव उवाच
Even powerful beings can be driven by asūyā (jealousy), which leads toward unjust violence; higher strength is shown in the ability to restrain harm and neutralize aggression without escalating it.
Indra, jealous, prepares to strike a boy with the vajra, but the boy miraculously immobilizes Indra’s thunderbolt-bearing arm—described as thick like a parigha—preventing the blow.
