व्युष्टि ब्राह्मणपूजायां रौक्मिणेय निबोध मे । एते हि सोमराजान ईश्वरा: सुखदुःखयो:
vyuṣṭi brāhmaṇapūjāyāṃ raukmiṇeya nibodha me | ete hi somarājāna īśvarāḥ sukhaduḥkhayoḥ ||
风神说道:“鲁克米妮之子啊,当从我这里明白礼敬婆罗门时应守的次第与法度。因为这些婆罗门——圣智之主——确如苏摩之下的王者,执掌安乐与苦痛之生起。”
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse teaches that honoring Brahmins must be done with proper discipline and reverence, because those who embody sacred learning and ritual authority can become the occasion for one’s happiness or suffering—through the merit gained by honoring them or the fault incurred by neglecting them.
Vāyu addresses Raukmiṇeya (Kṛṣṇa), instructing him about the correct procedure and attitude in Brahmin-honoring. He underscores their exalted status by comparing them to ‘Soma-kings’ and stating their power with respect to human welfare.
