अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
उपमन्युरुवाच एतान् दत्त्वा वरान् देवो वन्द्यमान: सुरभि: | स्तूयमानश्व विबुधैस्तत्रैवान्तरधीयत
Upamanyur uvāca: etān dattvā varān devo vandyamānaḥ surabhiḥ | stūyamānaś ca vibudhais tatraivāntaradhīyata ||
优波摩纽说道：赐下这些恩赐之后，那位神圣的主宰——为苏罗毗所敬礼、为诸天所赞颂——就在原地隐没不见。此段昭示：真诚的奉爱与合乎正法的赞颂，终将招致神恩；然而神圣的临在终究不可执取，随其自愿而显现、复又退隐。
