karmanyāsakṛtānāṁ ca viraktānāṁ tatastataḥ | yā gatir brahmayasadane sā gatistvaṁ sanātana sanātana deva ||
The verse identifies the highest spiritual goal promised to renouncers and the detached—often described as reaching Brahman’s abode—not as a mere place, but as the Eternal Divine itself. The ‘goal’ is ultimately communion with, or realization of, the timeless Lord.
Vāyu speaks in praise and theological affirmation, addressing the Eternal God and declaring that the supreme destination attained by action-renouncers and the dispassionate is identical with the deity being addressed.
