तपो येषां धन नित्यं वाक् चैव विपुलं बलम् | प्रभवश्वैव धर्माणां धर्मज्ञा: सूक्ष्मदर्शिन:,सदा तपस्या उनका धन और वाणी उनका महान् बल है। वे धर्मोंकी उत्पत्तिके कारण, धर्मके ज्ञाता और सूक्ष्मदर्शी हैं
tapo yeṣāṃ dhana nityaṃ vāk caiva vipulaṃ balam | prabhavaś caiva dharmāṇāṃ dharmajñāḥ sūkṣmadarśinaḥ ||
毗湿摩说道:“对于那些以苦行为恒常之财、以言语本身为充沛之力的人,他们便成为法(dharma)生起之源。他们通达法,具微妙洞见。”
भीष्म उवाच
True authority in dharma comes from inner discipline (tapas) and truthful, well-governed speech. Those grounded in austerity and wise counsel become reliable sources for understanding and sustaining dharma, because they can perceive subtle moral distinctions.
In the Anushasana Parva’s instruction section, Bhishma continues advising on righteous conduct. Here he characterizes exemplary sages/virtuous persons: their ‘wealth’ is austerity, their ‘power’ is speech, and they are portrayed as originators and expert interpreters of dharma through subtle insight.
