भीष्म उवाच जगत्प्रभुं देवदेवमनन्तं पुरुषोत्तमम्‌ । स्तुवन्‌ नामसहस्रेण पुरुष: सततोत्थित:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca jagatprabhuṁ devadevam anantaṁ puruṣottamam | stuvan nāmasahasreṇa puruṣaḥ satatotthitaḥ |

Translation

毗湿摩说道：若有人恒常警醒、坚定不懈，以诵念主宰宇宙者——诸神之神、无量无边者、至上之人（普鲁沙奥塔玛）——的一千圣名而赞颂之，便能超越一切忧苦。
