Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
भवितारश्न तस्याथ सर्वे कामा यथेप्सिता: । प्रेत्य स्वर्ग च लभते नरो नास्त्यत्र संशय:,उसके सारे अभीष्ट मनोरथ पूर्ण होंगे और वह मनुष्य मृत्युके पश्चात् स्वर्गलोक पाता है, इसमें संशय नहीं है
bhavitāraś ca tasyātha sarve kāmā yathā-ipsitāḥ | pretya svargaṃ ca labhate naro nāsty atra saṃśayaḥ ||
毗湿摩说道:“于是,他一切正当所愿皆必圆满;而其身后必得升天——对此毫无疑虑。”
भीष्म उवाच
That dharma-aligned action and intention lead to assured results: fulfillment of rightful aims in life and attainment of heaven after death, presented as a certainty without doubt.
Bhīṣma, in his instruction (Anuśāsana) to Yudhiṣṭhira, concludes a promise of spiritual and moral reward, affirming that the person under discussion will have desired aims fulfilled and will attain svarga after death.
