कल्मषापहर-कीर्तनम् / Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
शोभने! जिस मनुष्यका आचरण क्रूरतासे भरा हुआ है
śrīmaheśvara uvāca | śobhane! yo manuṣyaḥ krūratā-bharitācāraḥ sarva-bhūtānāṃ bhaya-hetuḥ, yaḥ kara-pāda-raśmi-daṇḍa-aśma-prabhṛtibhir āhatya stambheṣu baddhvā ca ghātaka-śastra-praghātaiḥ prāṇi-jantūn pīḍayati; sa chala-kapaṭa-kuśalaḥ hiṃsārthaṃ teṣu bhūteṣu udvegaṃ janayati, udvega-karaś ca nityaṃ teṣāṃ jantūnāṃ prati ākrāmati—tādṛśa-svabhāva-ācāro manuṣyo narake nipatati | sa vai manuṣyatāṃ gacched yadi kālasya paryayāt | bahu-duḥkha-bādha-parikliṣṭe jāyate so 'dhame kule ||
圣摩诃自在天说道:“美丽者啊!凡其行浸透残酷,成为一切众生之惧者;以手以足,以绳以杖以石击打有情;将其缚于柱上,又以致命兵刃加击,折磨禽兽及诸类众生;精于欺诳与诈伪;为逞暴行而在彼等中搅起惊惶,自身又为恐怖之使者,常常袭击那些生灵——具此性情与行径之人,必堕地狱。若因时轮回转而复得人身,则生于卑下之家,备受多种艰辛,复为无数障难所困。”
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
Cruelty and deliberate harm toward living beings—especially when driven by deceit and habitual aggression—leads to severe karmic consequences: a fall into hell, and even if reborn as human, birth amid hardship and low social conditions.
Śrī Maheśvara addresses a listener (‘O fair one’) and delivers a moral warning: he describes specific acts of tormenting creatures (beating, binding, striking with weapons, inducing panic) and then states the resulting fate across afterlife (naraka) and future rebirth (human birth in an afflicted, low family).
