मार्गहिस्थ च ये मार्ग न यच्छन्त्यल्पबुद्धय: । पाद्या्हस्य च ये पाद्यं न ददत्यल्पबुद्धय:

Transliteration

mārga-sthāś ca ye mārgaṁ na yacchanty alpa-buddhayaḥ | pādyārhasya ca ye pādyaṁ na dadaty alpa-buddhayaḥ ||

Translation

那些见识浅薄之人，即便立于路上，也不为应当引导者指示道路；对配受礼敬、应当奉上洗足之水的贵客，他们也不献洗足水。
