यस्यान्नेनावशेषेण जठरटरे यो म्रियेद्‌ द्विज: । तांतांयोनिं व्रजेद्‌ विप्रो यस्यान्नमुपजीवति

yasyānnenāvaśeṣeṇa jaṭharaṭare yo mriyed dvijaḥ | tāṁ tāṁ yoniṁ vrajed vipro yasyānnam upajīvati ||

大自在天(摩醯首罗)宣示:若一位婆罗门死时腹中仍存他人之残食,则必再生于与那供食之人相应的“胎类/生类”(yoni)之中。换言之,以他人之资养而活——尤以食其余馀——便结成束缚性的依附,牵引来世之生处,彰显饮食、施主供养与生计清净之伦理分量。
