रेणुक उवाच अनुज्ञातो$स्मि देवैश्व पितृभिश्न महाबला: । धर्मगुह्यानि युष्माकं श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वतः । कथयध्वं महाभागा यद् वस्तत्त्वं मनीषितम्
Reṇuka uvāca: anujñāto 'smi devaiś ca pitṛbhiś ca mahābalāḥ | dharma-guhyāni yuṣmākaṃ śrotum icchāmi tattvataḥ | kathayadhvaṃ mahābhāgā yad vastattvaṃ manīṣitam ||
勒努迦说道：“诸位大力者——护方巨象啊！我已蒙诸天与祖灵（Pitṛ）允准，故来至此。我愿如实聆听你们所奉持的达摩之秘义。诸位福德具足、心量宏大者，请宣说你们智慧所洞见、作为达摩本质的要义真谛。”
