Bhaṅgāśvanopākhyāna — On comparative affection in strī–puruṣa union (भङ्गाश्वनोपाख्यानम्)
तापसेनास्य पुत्राणामाश्रमेष्वभवच्छतम् । अथ सा<55दाय तानू् सर्वान् पूर्वपुत्रानभाषत
tāpasenāsya putrāṇām āśrameṣv abhavac chatam | atha sā ādāya tān sarvān pūrvaputrān abhāṣata |
毗湿摩说道:在那位苦行仙人的住林中,她生下了一百个儿子。随后王后带着这些儿子,去见先前所生的百子,对他们说道:“孩子们!我为男身之时,你们是我的百子;如今我为女身,这些也是我的百子。你们众人当合而为一,以兄弟之情共同享有并治理此国。”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse promotes dharmic governance through unity: even when lineage is complex, rightful rule should be maintained by mutual recognition and fraternal cooperation rather than rivalry.
A queen, after bearing a hundred sons in an ascetic’s hermitage, gathers them and speaks to her earlier-born sons, urging both sets of sons to live as brothers and jointly enjoy/administrate the kingdom.
