सदा द्वादशमासान्‌ वै जुह्मानो जातवेदसम्‌ | स्थानं वारुणमैन्द्रं च रौद्रं वाप्पधिगच्छति

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | sadā dvādaśa-māsān vai juhvāno jātavedasam | sthānaṃ vāruṇam aindraṃ ca raudraṃ vāpy adhigacchati ||

Translation

毗湿摩说：若有人满十二个月不间断地每日向“阇多吠陀”(Jātavedas，祭火)投献供物，便能到达伐楼那与因陀罗之住处，亦能至鲁陀罗之界。此教诲强调：以恒常与纪律履行祭祀之责（yajña），可得崇高归趣，并在诸神中受尊荣。
