नारायणस्याड्कगतां ज्वलन्तीं दृष्टवा श्रियं पच्मसमानवर्णाम्‌ । कौतूहलाद्‌ विस्मितचारुनेत्रा पप्रच्छ माता मकरध्वजस्य

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca |

nārāyaṇasyāṅkagatāṃ jvalantīṃ dṛṣṭvā śriyaṃ padmasamānavarṇām |

kautūhalād vismitacārunetrā papraccha mātā makaradhvajasya ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：鲁克米妮——摩伽罗陀缚阇之母——见到室利（Lakṣmī）光辉炽然、灿烂发耀，色泽如莲，端坐于那罗延（Nārāyaṇa）膝上，便惊异得美目大张。出于好奇，她向吉祥天女发问。
