भीष्म उवाच ज्येष्ठवत्‌ तात वर्तस्व ज्येष्ठोडसि सततं भवान्‌ । गुरोर्गरीयसी वृत्तिया च शिष्यस्यथ भारत

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | jyeṣṭhavat tāta vartasva jyeṣṭho 'si satataṁ bhavān | guror garīyasī vṛttir yā ca śiṣyasya tathā bhārata ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：“孩子啊，你当以长兄之道自持，因为在诸兄弟之中你恒为年长者。正如师长对弟子保持庄重、威严而护持的仪范，你也应当以同样的态度对待你的弟弟们，噢，婆罗多族的后裔。”
