सुवर्णस्त्वब्रवीद् वाक््यं मनुं स्वायम्भुवं प्रति । हितार्थ सर्वभूतानां प्रश्न॑ मे वक्तुमहसि
suvarṇas tv abravīd vākyam manuṃ svāyambhuvaṃ prati | hitārthaṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ praśnaṃ me vaktum arhasi ||
毗湿摩说：苏伐那对自生摩奴（Svayambhuva Manu）说道：“为了一切众生的福祉，你应当回答我一个问题。以花供奉诸天的这种仪式究竟是什么？它如何兴起并流传开来？它的果报是什么？它正确的用意与目的又是什么？请将这一切都告诉我。”
