उपदेशदोषप्रसङ्गः (Upadeśa-doṣa-prasaṅgaḥ) — The Risk of Misapplied Counsel
वह मानसिक संकल्पोंका नियन्त्रण (चित्तवृतियोंका निरोध) करते हुए फल खाकर रहता और इन्द्रियोंको काबूमें रखता था। उसके यहाँ जो अन्न और फल उपस्थित रहता, उन्हींके द्वारा प्रतिदिन आये हुए अतिथियोंका यथोचित सत्कार करता था। इस प्रकार रहते हुए उस शूद्र मुनिको बहुत समय बीत गया ।।
atha asya munir āgacchat saṅgatyā vai tam āśramam | sampūjya svāgatena ṛṣiḥ vidhivat samatoṣayat ||
他制御心中诸念（止息心识之波动），以果为食，调伏诸根。凡其处所有的粮食与果品，皆用以日日如法款待来客。如此而住，那位首陀罗牟尼度过了漫长岁月。其后，一位圣者在游行途中来到他的精舍；苦行者以正当的迎接礼相待，依仪轨恭敬供养仙人，使之如法而得满足。
