vayaṁ hi dhārtarāṣṭrāś ca kālam anyu-vaśaṁ gatāḥ | kṛtvedaṁ ninditaṁ karma prāpsyāmaḥ kāṁ gatiṁ nṛpa || 7 ||
尤提士提罗说道:“确实,我们般度五子与持国之子同样,都被时运与愤怒所驱使,做下这可耻之业。大王啊,如今我们将堕入何等归宿?”
युधिछिर उवाच
Even when events seem driven by Kāla (Time) and manyu (anger), one must recognize moral responsibility: actions done in rage become nindita (censured) and lead to anxiety about gati (future destiny). The verse highlights ethical self-scrutiny after violence.
Yudhiṣṭhira laments the catastrophic outcome of the conflict, admitting that both sides—Pāṇḍavas and Dhārtarāṣṭras—were swept along by Time and anger, and he fears the spiritual and moral consequences of the blameworthy deeds committed.
