माद्रयामश्चिभ्यां नकुलसहदेवावुत्पादितौ,माद्रीके गर्भसे अश्विनीकुमारोंने नकुल और सहदेवको उत्पन्न किया
mādryāṃ aśvibhyāṃ nakula-sahadevau utpāditau | mādrīke garbhase aśvinīkumārauṇa nakulaṃ ca sahadevaṃ ca utpannau |
毗湿摩耶那说道:摩德丽(Mādrī)因双生阿湿毗尼天(Aśvin)之力,诞下兄弟那俱罗(Nakula)与娑诃提婆(Sahadeva)。于是,凭借神明的作用,摩德丽受孕并生下那俱罗与娑诃提婆——使般度五子(Pāṇḍava)之系得以圆满,也昭示命运与达摩如何借由人的意志与更高的力量共同运转。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The passage highlights that rightful lineage and the unfolding of dharma can involve divine agency; human families in the epic are shaped by vows, boons, and higher powers, yet the resulting responsibilities remain ethical and worldly.
The narrator states that Mādrī, by invoking the Aśvin twins, gives birth to Nakula and Sahadeva, establishing them as the younger Pāṇḍava brothers and completing the set of Pāṇḍu’s sons.
