Educational Q&A

The verse foregrounds compassion and dharma expressed as responsibility: when a helpless child is abandoned, a righteous response is to protect, nurture, and grant social belonging through acknowledged parenthood.

Adhiratha, the husband of Rādhā, finds an infant set adrift in the water, takes him in, and establishes him as Rādhā’s son—thus initiating the child’s life within a recognized household.
