अग्रजातेति तां कन्यां शूरो<नुग्रहकाड्क्षया । अददात्‌ कुन्तिभोजाय स तां दुहितरं तदा,तदनन्तर सबसे पहले उनके यहाँ कन्या ही उत्पन्न हुई। शूरसेनने अनुग्रहकी इच्छासे राजा कुन्तिभोजको अपनी वह पुत्री पृथा प्रथम संतान होनेके कारण गोद दे दी

agrajāteti tāṁ kanyāṁ śūro'nugrahakāṅkṣayā | adadāt kuntibhojāya sa tāṁ duhitaraṁ tadā ||

毗湿摩波衍那说:因她是长女、亦为初生之女,舒罗塞那欲施恩泽,便在当时将那少女交予昆提菩阇王,把自己的女儿托付给他,令其如亲生般抚养。
