phalapuṣpodakaṃ nāma pratigrāhayituṃ nṛpam
塔克沙迦说道:“为使你们的谋事得成,去见国王吧,但不可露出丝毫慌乱。你们此行的目的,是向大王奉上惯常的供献——果品、花与清水。”
तक्षक उवाच
The verse highlights the power of proper conduct and ritual etiquette in royal settings: approaching calmly and with respectful offerings can secure access and trust. Ethically, it also shows how outward forms of dharma (courtesy, gifts) may be used strategically, reminding readers to discern intention behind appearances.
Takṣaka instructs agents to approach the king without anxiety and to present a conventional respectful gift—fruits, flowers, and water—so their mission will succeed by appearing harmless and properly mannered.
