वैशम्पायन उवाच एवं स्तुतस्तदा तेन मन्दपालेन पावक:

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca—evaṁ stutas tadā tena Mandapālena Pāvakaḥ; prasannaḥ sa mahātejā ṛṣim abhyabhāṣata—“kiṁ te ’bhīṣṭaṁ karavāṇi?”

Translation

毗湿摩耶那说道：当时，圣者曼达帕拉如此赞颂之后，帕瓦卡（阿耆尼）以无量光辉大为欢喜；心怀悦意，便对那仙人说道：“你所愿之事，我当为你成就哪一件？”
