समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः
Samantapañcaka Narrative and the Measure of an Akṣauhiṇī
त॑ दुष्टभावं॑ विज्ञाय व्यासस्यागमन द्रुतम् । निर्याणप्रतिषेधश्व सुरभ्याख्यानमेव च,दुर्योधनके इस दूषित भावको जानकर महर्षि व्यास झटपट वहाँ आ पहुँचे और उन्होंने दुर्योधनकी यात्राका निषेध कर दिया। इसी प्रसंगमें सुरभिका आख्यान भी है
taṁ duṣṭabhāvaṁ vijñāya vyāsasyāgamanaṁ drutam | niryāṇa-pratiṣedhaś ca surabhy-ākhyānam eva ca ||
毗耶娑圣仙洞察到杜罗约陀那心怀邪念、意图污浊，便疾速赶至彼处，禁止他启程远行；而在同一脉络中，也叙述了苏拉毗（Surabhī）的故事（ākhyāna）——以昭示智者之箴言，常在祸心未成恶行之前，力图遏止其害人的决断。
