नच प्राणैर्वियुज्यन्ते केचित् तत्रास्य सैनिका: । विश्वामित्रस्य संक्रुद्धैर्वासिछ्ैर्भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ! क्रोधमें भरे हुए होनेपर भी वसिष्ठसेनाके सैनिक विश्वामित्रके किसी भी योद्धाका प्राण नहीं लेते थे
na ca prāṇair viyujyante kecit tatrāsya sainikāḥ | viśvāmitrasya saṃkruddhair vāsiṣṭhair bharatarṣabha ||
乾闼婆说道:“噢,婆罗多族中的雄杰啊,在那里,他的士卒没有一个被夺去性命。纵然在与毗湿瓦密多罗的交战中怒火正盛,婆悉吒一方的战士也未取毗湿瓦密多罗麾下任何一人的性命。”
गन्धर्व उवाच
Even amid anger and armed confrontation, dharma can express itself as restraint—victory or defense need not require taking life. The verse highlights ethical self-control in conflict.
A Gandharva narrates that during the clash involving Viśvāmitra and Vasiṣṭha’s side, Vasiṣṭha’s troops, though enraged, did not kill any of Viśvāmitra’s warriors.
