अजुन उवाच यदि प्रीतेन मे दत्तं संशये जीवितस्य वा । विद्याधनं श्रुतं वापि न तद्‌ गन्धर्व रोचये,अर्जुनने कहा--गन्धर्व! यदि तुमने प्रसन्न होकर अथवा प्राणसंकटसे बचानेके कारण मुझे विद्या, धन अथवा शास्त्र प्रदान किया है तो मैं इस तरहका दान लेना पसंद नहीं करता

arjuna uvāca yadi prītena me dattaṃ saṃśaye jīvitasya vā | vidyādhanaṃ śrutaṃ vāpi na tad gandharva rocaye ||

阿周那说道:“乾闼婆啊,若你因欢喜之心——或因我在危难之际救你性命而欲报偿——而赠我学艺、财富,乃至圣典之知,我并不赞同受此馈赠。我不愿取这样的酬报。”
